Friday 13 June, it’s time to get those well-worn dancing shoes on.
Brought to you by Everyone’s a DJ and Ở ĐÂU?, CARGO Bar is going to be playing host to Reflex: a French band that take a bunch of the best elements of dance and smash it together to make music that’s made to party to.
A bit of house? Check.
And just a touch of the 80s? Check.
Describing their style as “seadisco”, their set is wall-to-wall floor fillers – the kind of music that you can’t help but get up move to, whether it’s early in the evening, or it’s 4am. The French are renowned for their knack with dance music, and Reflex are absolutely no exception to that.
But don’t take our word for it. Check out their Soundcloud here: https://soundcloud.com/reflexreflex
Support will come in the form of local favourite DMN SLYR, AKA Dan Nguyen: art director, designer, artist, producer and DJ from Southern California. Under the DMN SLYR monicker, Dan creates electronic music that is innovative, catchy and driving.
Joining the party to spin tracks will be Hong Kong DJ Eric Lui, who’s earned a reputation for his floor-stomping sets of nu-disco and indie-electro. His recent set at “Electric Kicks” in Saigon blew partygoers away – and his set at the Reflex gig is sure to deliver the same high levels of energy that had revelers kicking it until the early hours. Check out his Soundcloud here: https://soundcloud.com/chill-balloon/summer-mixtape-2013
Plus, we’ll have Everyone’s a DJ and Ở ĐÂU? spinning tracks before, between, and after the sets.
That’s a lot of entertainment.
Don’t miss this one guys – it’s sure to be an all nighter.
